    Imago Dei

    Imago Dei
     
     
     
    The Image of God
    I want to be
    As He created me
     
    I wish to be the companion
    He wanted in me
    By the first man Adam
    And the seeds passed down
    Generation to generation
    More in number than the stars above
    And the grains of sand on the desert and seas
    As promised By God's blessings
     
    I wish to be more like
    The Image of God
    That the saints were
    But then they were sinners too
    Just like you and me
    They were Saved by Grace of Jesus
    Just as all mankind
     
    I wish to be all God wants me too be
    As He formed me
    From the Miry clay
    Molding me in His Image
    The Imago Dei
     
    I wish to be
    All He wants me too be
    By the Spirit
    That surrounds me
    That engulfs me with the Truest of Love
    Jesus Christ is this True Love
    Whom wrapped me in His cleansing Blood
    To cleanse me as the whitest of snows
     
    Yes I wish to Be the Image
    The Imago Dei
    That God created in me
    Man, woman, and child you can see Him in
    For we are The Image
    The Image of
    The Imago Dei
     
     
    We are The Imago Dei
     
     
     
     
    The meaning of the IMAGO DEI.. is.. The IMAGE OF GOD

    What a Blessing to receive a new name for God !
    Soon as I read the article this Poem came to mind and flowed like water !
