January 27 Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews,
Thats what they called him so long ago.
God's own chosen thats whom we were,
That yelled,
Save Barabbas,
Crucify Jesus,,
But for a few hands full that believed,
That Jesus was King!
And that scripture would fulfill,
Then soldiers cast lots at Jesus' feet,
To win His garments that were upon Him.
Then once Christ had said it is finished,
The soldiers broke the legs of the thieves,
But not of Christ's for He was dead.
Then soldiers speared Jesus in the side,
And out gushed blood and water.
So the soldiers whom speared Jesus knew,
And said truly this is the Son of God !
So came a man named Joseph of Arimathaea,
And took Christ's body,
Wrapped Him in fine linen,
And layed Christ in a tomb of rock and closed the door.
Then Mary Magdalene ran to the tomb,
And found it empty,
And as she cried,
Someone spoke why weepest thou?
They've taken my Lord !
Tell me did thou move Him?
Mary He said,
It is I !
Rabbonni, Master she cried !
Do not touch me I have not ascended,
Unto My Father !
And so Jesus Christ appeared to many saying,
Did I not tell you I was about My Father's business.
That I would leave you for a short while.
And would rise on the third day !
Now I Am risen !
And now I must go to My Father,
And Christ arose and ascended into Heaven !
